Skull and Bones was poorly received when it launched back in February 2024 after 6 delays but that wasn't the only problem with Ubisoft's open world pirate game. This game went through complete development hell, was passed on to multiple game directors, had no solid vision for years and was nothing like the game it originally took inspiration from.
From the moment development began for Skull and Bones it took 11 years to release it as a product and what we got compared to what we should have got is crazy. I actually enjoyed the gameplay of Skull and Bones but that was about it and even the gameplay eventually got boring as once you reach the endgame you're basically done unless you want to repeat the same, tedious activity over and over and over again.
