The Army is preparing its first expedition to Baffin Island deep inside the Canadian Arctic. It is a place where the Army has never sent its soldiers before. A team made up of nine men and three women will head to the polar region in April on an expedition called Arctic Mountaineer. Some of them have been training in southern Germany.
