Keeping an armoured column on the move is no easy task, as Russian tanks discovered when they got bogged down in failed attempts to capture Ukraine's capital Kyiv earlier this year.

The Queen's Royal Hussars, who have been taking part in an exercise in Poland with their Challenger 2 tanks, are trained to repair smaller jobs themselves.

However, for more complex issues, they send for the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) and their mobile repair shop.
