This is the following steps for adding a cape to an OSRS character in Blender:
Step 1: Get your model into blender and duplicate it.
Step 2: Enter edit mode and delete everything that isn’t the cape on 1 model and do the opposite on the other model. .
Step 3: Rig and animate your character.
Step 4: now your scene is setup and your character is ready to go, we want to attach the cape. Back to them. To do this parent it to the bone. With the armature selected enter pose mode, select the neck bone. Now enter object mode and select the cape and then the armature and press control P for pontificate and then select the bone. Your cape will now follow the bone wherever it may go.
Step 5: Now is the fun part we want to add cloth physics to the cape. Firstly we want to subdivide so that it can be a decent cloth sim. Then we press the cloth sim button. Our cape now falls to the ground so now we need to add some pins. Enter edit mode and select the parts you don’t want to fall. Create a vertex group and then assign it. Now go over to the cloth sim options and under the shape tab is a pin group. Select your vertex group.
Step 6: Select your character model and add collision. Now you have a cape sim.
