How to Backup Exodus Wallet?
0In this video, I am going to show you how to backup your Exodus wallet.
Exodus is an all-in-one cryptocurrency trading application with built-in exchange and wallet functionality. Exodus simplifies the process of exchanging tokens, coins, and fiat currency.
If you accidentally happen to lose your device or you simply don't have access to the backup phrase, then your exodus wallet data will be gone forever, so you need to backup in Exodus to restore your wallet and balance on your new device.
You can follow the below instructions to backup exodus wallet:
1. Start by opening up the exodus wallet application, and log into your Exodus wallet account
2. Go to the Gear icon at the top right corner and click it on
3. In the backup tab, 2 options are displayed -one is the exodus password option, and the other is the secret recovery phrase
4. Click on the View secret phrase (go through the information since it must say that you should not share your secret phrase with anyone, so make sure no one is around before revealing your secret phrase)
5. Click on the box which says I'm in private and understand the risk of showing my secret phrase
and click on Show secret phrase
6. Type in exodus password into the textbox phrase under unlock your wallet and click on Unlock Now to unlock your wallet
7. From this page, all 12 phrases are displayed on the screen in numerical order; you can simply write down all the phrases, mouseover to the number to reveal the phrase and write it down on paper. Click Ok
There you are; you have completed backing up the recovery phrases on your Exodus wallet.
