Ooh Caius--he's a tricky one. You need to pay close attention to the modes he uses. When he's in Ravager mode, throw fire, ice, lightning, and wind at him. When he switches to Commando, lambast him with your melee weapon. But here's the thing: you can't just rely on one type of magic, because if you stagger him with one type, he'll gain a resistance to it. Caius will throw a number of attacks at you, but many of them charge up in the air before blasting you. The split-second timing required can be grueling. If you get caught up in a series of them, it's curtains.
If you want to get fancy with this one, and if you've gotten that far, you can always set one schemata to make you all but immune to magic, and another to make you all but immune to physical attacks. The Cyber Jumpsuit outfit with Ghostly Hood and Guard Glove should take care of the first case; Quiet Guardian with Preta Hood and Runic Ring will go a long way towards the second. (Just remember that debuffs can alter things.) If you have the non-resistance schemata equipped and start to take damage, quickly switch to the other. No matter where you go with your schemata, make sure you've got Heavy Slash equipped somewhere, preferable on your third schema. If you've got Soldier of Peace, choose that one: it transforms Heavy Slash into the ultrapowerful Artemis's Arrows.
