How to set up a bootable Kali Tails or Parrot OS drive

What you need
• A USB drive. At least 8 GB recommended. Use 16 GB or larger for Parrot or Tails if you want persistence.
• A computer with internet access
• The ISO file for your chosen OS
• Kali Linux https://www.kali.org/get-kali

• A tool to write ISOs to USB
• Balena Etcher https://etcher.balena.io/

Quick steps
1. Download the ISO from the official site and verify checksum.
2. Plug in your USB drive and back up important data.
3. Use Balena Etcher or Rufus to flash the ISO to the USB.
4. Reboot and select the USB from your boot menu.
5. Optional persistence: Kali and Parrot support persistent partitions. Tails has a built in Configure Persistent Storage option.
