I show you some tricks how you can capture a city without loosing soldiers. I only tried this with dwarfs, however I think it could work with other factions just use catapults, heroes and ranged units.

Belegar Ironhammer and his ancestor heroes are quite useful in this trick because of immortality and the good amount of defence rating. The campaign was set on Very Hard/Very Hard difficulty. You can see the AI has its weaknesses and if you are smart you can use these weaknesses as your advantage.

By the way this campaign was really bumped up, as you see my diplomacy was very bad. Never-ever let your reliability to go down or the major powers will declare war on you and your game is over.
