How to cast phone to laptop (wireless/ android phone/ Windows)
13To mirror your android phone on your windows PC is easy and you don’t even need a third party app. To use screen mirroring, you must first set up and enable the feature on your Android or Windows device. I’ll show you how.
On Windows, Go to Settings, Click on System, From the left menu Select Projecting to this PC.
If the Wireless Display feature is not enabled on your PC, then you need to add it.
Simply click on optional features. Now Add a feature. From the list, you need to select Wireless Display. Install the feature. And select available everywhere.
Now your PC is ready for connection and you need to request the connection from your android device.
If you couldn’t istall wireless display, then search for internet options, go to the advanced tab, and check Use TLS 1.1 and 1.0.
Then go to search, type in CMD, and run it as an administrator. Here, type in these codes: ipconfig /flushdns, then type in netsh winsock reset. Then restart your computer and repeat the steps shown before. It should let you download Wireless display now.
Ok. After you have installed it, your PC is ready.
Now on your android phone, swipe to drop down the menu and depending on the manufacturer, the name of the fuction is different. I have a Samsung and I need to press the button called Smart View. But on your phone it may appear like:
• Quick Connect
• Smart Share
• All Share Cast
• Wireless display
• Display mirroring
• HTC Connect
• Screen casting
• Cast
Once you identify the term used by the manufacturer of your Android device, the screen mirroring feature is generally enabled from within the settings menu; After you enable the feature, select your PC from the list of discovered devices to request a connection.
Your phone or tablet is now wirelessly mirroring to your PC. Anything you do on your mobile device will reflect on your computer in real time, including audio. Tap the Smart View button on your device screen to cancel the mirroring, or disconnect from the PC.
