To do this on you android device, more specifically on your Samsung phone, but the same principle works on all android phones above android 7.
Open the recent apps menu, and here, click on the icon of the app, select Open in split screen view. You will be prompted to open another app in the bottom. You can even search for it on your phone.
You can resize the apps by dragging the three dots in the middle and by pressing on the small line here, you can enter more options to change the app, close it, or open it in a picture in picture mode. I hope this video helped!
