How to change EverDrive BATTERY (GBA/GB/GBC) - Mini, X3, X5, X7, Phat original model
The Krikzz EverDrives were designed to be user friendly. If the battery dies in your ED, you will only need a replacement battery (CR1220 for GBA specifically) and one of those tiny screw drivers.
This video is a simple tutorial on how to identify if your battery is dead and how to swap it with a new one.
Steps:
-Use small screw driver to remove single screw on the back of the EverDrive (Mini, X3, X5, doesn't really matter which model as they are all pretty much the same). NOTE - you might want to remove the SD/microSD card first.
-Remove the front casing to gain access to the board
-Remove the board from the back casing
-Remove the existing battery - it has a tight fit so you might need to use that screw driver to push the battery free
-Insert the new battery with the "+" side facing you (up/front)
-Put the casing back together
-Insert the screw on the back and tighten - DONE!
Unfortunately, I had to go through a couple batteries in order to find one that had some juice in it. You will know your battery is working properly if the EverDrive boots up without a warning screen. You might want to test by turning the Everdrive On/Off a few times and see if the warning message goes away. Be sure to properly dispose of the old battery.
Hope this helps.
