How to Change Output Device in Marvel Rivals – Can’t Change Output Device Fix
3In this tutorial I show you how to change output device in Marvel Rivals. In some instances, you may notice that you can’t change your output device, or that it is greyed out. If this is the case then you will need to open the Volume Mixer on your PC.
To open the volume mixer you will need to tab out of Marvel Rivals, or press the Windows key on your keyboard. Both options will allow you to access your taskbar. Once done you will need to right-click on the speaker icon and choose to Open Volume Mixer.
With the Volume Mixer open you will be able to change the input and output device being used for each application. Find the Marvel Rivals application, then change the output device to the device you want to use in game.
Another option is to change your output device using audio software if you use one. For example, if you use SteelSeries Sonar then you can change what output device is used through the software itself. In the case of Sonar, you will simply need to drag the Marvel Rivals application box to the output you would like to use as your output device.
Once done go back to Marvel Rivals and your output device will change. If you notice that the output device is still the same then you can close the settings and reopen them. Doing so will refresh your settings, changing the selected output device.
