Open System Properties: Click on the "Start" button, right-click on "My Computer," and select "Properties." This will open the System Properties window.

Check the System Type: In the System Properties window, look for the "System" section. The "System Type" field will display whether your system is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows XP.

If the System Type says "x86-based PC," then you have a 32-bit version of Windows XP. If it says "x64-based PC," then you have a 64-bit version of Windows XP.

It is important to know if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows XP because this will determine which software and drivers you can install on your system. 32-bit versions of Windows XP can only run 32-bit software, while 64-bit versions can run both 32-bit and 64-bit software.
