All of these model use the same filter ( https://amzn.to/38ekvTf ) so there is no change in procedure from one to the next! You should be doing this operation every 1-2 months in order to maintain proper suction in your Dyson and to get the best possible performance. If your Dyson vacuum feels underpowered, it seems clogged or the filter is dirty, you'll want to do this immediately!
Seriously: Make sure the filter is totally dry before putting it back on the vacuum! If you don't do this you can break your vacuum!
