How to contact YouTube (if your channel is hacked or suspended)
66When your channel's been hacked or suspended, how are you supposed to contact YouTube anyway?
Ultimately, if your channel has been hacked (which can result in a suspension, so if you think your channel was suspended "for no reason", then you might want to watch on), then only Creator Support can help you.
So, the first thing you want to see is if you can directly access the hijacking form here:
https://support.google.com/youtube/contact/report_youtube_hijacking
The correct page will have "Report a potential account hijacking to our support team" at the top and will have a form that requires you to answer several questions.
If you are redirected to any other page, then you need to keep watching on! The problem is: only YouTubers in the YouTube Partner Program have access to Creator Support, and if your channel never was in the YPP (or your YPP-enabled channel is the one that was suspended), then you will lose all ability to directly contact Creator Support.
So, what can you do then?
If you can reach out to TeamYouTube on Twitter and they understand what's going on with your channel, they can approve you for access to the hijacking support form.
But there are a lot of people on Twitter and not a lot of people in TeamYouTube, so they don't always have time to respond to every message.
So, what can you do then?
There is a YouTube Community Help Forum which has volunteers and fellow users answering. While this means that not every response will be on point, there are individuals called "Product Experts" who have been recognized by Google for their product knowledge. If a Product Expert (such as myself) sees your thread, we can ask for the relevant information and escalate your case to the relevant teams.
