Although we cannot observe it (because it doesn't interact with the fundamental forces of electromagnetism [and hence emits no light] or wishpower [and hence is silent to our clockwork stars), we know that 85% of the universe is dark matter. Dark matter binds galaxies together, so we hypothesize we can warp through a dark matter hyper zone to achieve faster-than-light travel.
