It has been discontinued in favor of Windows 8.1 which, according to the community, is a better OS than Windows 8. This tutorial will show you how to create a bootable USB installer for Windows 8.1. Please make sure that the laptop you intend to install Windows 8.1 meets the minimum system requirements.

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
If you want to avail touch sensitive operations, your laptop should have a touch-sensitive screen.
1. Download Rufus from the official site.
2. Double-click the Rufus-exe file to launch the tool.
3. On "New volume label," type a descriptive label for the drive.
4. Format Options," check the Create a bootable disk using "ISO image"option.
5. Click the drive icon.
6. Select the Windows 10 image.
7. Click Open. Click the Start button.
8. Click OK to confirm that the USB drive will the erased.
10. Rufus will proceed to create the USB bootable
