This video is a response to requests on the shotcut forum for an explanation of how I created the animated text mask effect on this video soccer hype video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqu0oVd7r5k I tried to simplify the technique down to just a single layer mask in this video but you can duplicate and stack these text animation layers to make much more complex effects.
