In this tutorial I show you how to create custom shortcuts for any command said to your Google Home. Following this tutorial can make it easier to send complex commands to your Google Home with simple shortcuts. This tutorial works for the Google Home Mini, Google Home, and Google Home Max. It will also work for both Google Assistant trigger phrases "OK, Google" and "Hey, Google".

Follow the steps below to create custom shortcuts for your Google Home:
1. Open the Google Home app.
2. Once in the Google Home app, select the menu icon located in the top left corner of the app.
3. In the menu find and select More settings.
4. Scroll down in the Google Home settings and select Shortcuts.
5. Once in Shortcuts you will see a list of Popular shortcuts. You can use one of these or create a brand new one by selecting the blue + symbol in the bottom right of the app.
6. When creating the shortcut simply add your shortcut command in the field labeled "When I Say..." to configure the action taken by the Google Home enter the full command in the field labeled "Google Assistant should do"
7. Once completed configuring your Google Assistant shortcut select save.
8. Your new custom shortcut for Google Home has now been created.
