Steps:

Start by clicking the ‘Apple logo’ in the top left corner.

Choose ‘system preferences’ from the menu that appears.

In system preferences choose ‘mission control’.

Here you have lots of settings that you can customize.

Check the boxes that you would like and uncheck the boxes that you wouldn’t.

You can also create your own keyboard shortcuts for mission control at the bottom.

Click the window to the right of what you would like to create a shortcut for and then choose your desired shortcut keys.

You can open mission control by tapping two fingers on your magic mouse or tapping the mission control key on your keyboard.
