You may wish to disable Active Scripting within the Internet Explorer browser for development or security purposes. This tutorial explains how it's done.
Active Scripting (or sometimes called ActiveX Scripting) is what supports scripts in the web browser. When enabled, scripts are free to run at will, but you have the option to disable them completely or force IE to ask you each time they try to open.
