How To Disable NTFS Long Paths In Windows 10. If this option is not available for you, and you are running Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise or Education, you must upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10.

After the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft addressed the 260 character limitation for path length. In case you don't know, in all currently released Windows versions, the maximal length of the file path is 260 chars. Starting with build 14352 of Windows 10, which is part of the Anniversary Update (version 1607), this limitation can be bypassed. In this tutorial, I will be showing, if for whatever reason, you wanted to disable this feature.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).
