11During first time set up of the Nintendo Switch 2 you'll be asked whether to create a new account, or to transfer data from an existing Nintendo Switch console.
In this short video you'll see how the System Transfer on a Nintendo Switch 2 (from a Nintendo Switch) is done, but if you need any additional help then be sure to take a look at the first time setup and system transfer walkthrough on my channel.
The System Transfer transfers accounts, save data, images, videos and game ownership data from one console to the next. Game data (as in the actual data for the games) is not transferred, and will automatically be downloaded once the console has finished the transfer.
