Learn how to draw an Astronaut on the Moon

International Day of Human Space Flight is the day when we celebrate the first human flight into space. It was on April 12th, 1961, when Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made the world's first space flight on the "Vostok-1" spacecraft.

So when we celebrate International Day of Human Space Flight, we remember this important historical moment when a human being first ventured into space and traveled an incredible distance.

The first human landing on the moon took place on July 20th, 1969, as part of the Apollo-11 mission. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin became the first people to step on the surface of the moon. Michael Collins also participated in this mission and stayed in orbit around the moon. The mission lasted about 8 days, and the astronauts spent about 2.5 hours on the surface of the moon, collecting samples of soil for further research.
