Hey everyone, struggling with NO RETURN? You're not alone; it's a challenging game, especially when it comes to unlocking skins like the amazing Savage Starlight for Ellie. After numerous regular runs, I've discovered a much simpler method to achieve this without solely relying on luck. Here's my strategy:
1. Custom Run: Enabled.
2. Difficulty: Very Light (Trust me, this game mode is no walk in the park!)
3. Modes: Ensure both Hunted and Captured are active. Avoid Assault and Holdout, as they yield fewer coins. When selecting paths at the board, go for the one with the highest coin reward, balancing between Hunted and Captured. Tip: Hunted offers dead drops early on, and Captured is lucrative for coins.
4. Gambits: Always active.
5. Dead Drop: Activate this. You'll find 1-2 per run. Fulfill the mailbox requests for high chances of receiving a gun or a recipe.
6. Game Timer: Set to the longest duration for ample supply collection and easier runs.
7. Enemies: All types (WLF, Seraphites, Rattlers, Infected) are on, but it's a personal choice. Be cautious around Infected and Rattlers, and remember that WLF are relatively easier to deal with.
8. Dogs: Off, to prevent them from disrupting your strategy.
9. Bosses: Optional, as defeating them isn't necessary for the skin. If you haven't collected all guns by the penultimate level, restart.
10. Mods: Activate only the beneficial ones: melee health restoration, time-slowing headshots, decreased enemy health, speed boost on vaulting, fiery melee attacks, and stealth kill speed boost. Avoid others, including filters.
11. Weapons to Collect: Pistol, revolver, bow, rifle, shotgun, SMG (6 in total). The rare versions count too, and remember, it's just about Ellie’s weapons.
This method drastically increases your chances from roughly 20% to 70-80%. Although it's not a guaranteed first-time success, it significantly improves your odds. Let me know if you encounter any issues!
