How to Enable 2FA on Kick
19A guide on how to Enable Two Factor Authentication on Kick.
I would've screenshotted my phone when using the google authenticator app but the security did not let me. However, I will also write down the steps here.
Steps
- After signing into your kick account on the top right click on your avatar icon.
- In the drop down menu click on Settings.
- On the left hand side click on Security.
- Then Click on Enable 2FA Button which is green.
-On your mobile phone download the Google Authenticator App from the Play Store if your using Android or App Store if your on Iphone.
- Once you Install the Google Authenticator App, open it an select the same Email you used to Sign up for Kick.
- Click the Blue Button that says Add A Code.
- Then press the button that says Scan A QR Code.
- Enable permission to Google Authenticator to Record or Capture Video.
- Now use your camera to scan the QR Code while making sure to get the QR Code picture in the Center of the Orange Square thats on your phones Camera.
- Once you do it will pop up Your Authentication Code on your phone that you need to type into Kick on your Computer.
- Click Continue Setup on your Computer once you scanned the QR Code with your phone an type in the code As Soon As Possible!!!
Note--- if it says invalid code then you need to restart this process by deleting the code thats on your google authenticator app an refresh your Computers Web browser after closing the QR Code pop up.
