How to Enable or Disable Offer to Save Passwords in Microsoft Edge [Tutorial]

Microsoft has adopted the Chromium open source project in the development of Microsoft Edge on the desktop to create better web compatibility. This new Microsoft Edge runs on the same Chromium web engine as the Google Chrome browser, offering you best in class web compatibility and performance.

This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off the offer to save passwords and why, in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

when you enter any login credential of any website in Microsoft Edge Browser, then you are prompted to save passwords. If you click Yes, then from next time, you won;t need to enter the password for that login. The password will be saved. If you are using a shared device, then saving the password is not a good idea. In that case, you can turn off the feature straight from Microsoft Edge. The feature is called Offer to Save Passwords. If you disable the feature, then the browser will no longer ask you to save passwords for any website. The following tutorial will help you to turn off Offer to Save Passwords in Microsoft Edge.

The new Chromium based Microsoft Edge is supported on all versions of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server (2016 and above), Windows Server (2008 R2 to 2012 R2), and macOS.

Autofill in Microsoft Edge helps you be more productive by letting you save passwords. Passwords are only saved with your explicit permission for each password.

When you visit a website that requires you to sign in, the Microsoft Edge will ask if you want your user name and password remembered. The next time you visit the site, the browser will finish filling in your account info. Password saving is turned on by default.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).
