How to entirely skip mod-swapping animations
0We finally cracked the code. This is actually really simple: suppose you start with the arbalest, this is the sequence of inputs you must do
1) hit the mod swap key
2) swap to a different weapon, no matter which one in particular [edit in 2023: it actually kinda matters but I'm not sure I want to make another video about it :')]
3) hit again the mod swap key
4) change to a different weapon, not necessarily the starting one
There you have it: now your ballista is equipped with the destroyer blade mod. This works with any weapon mods of course.
UPDATE: if you're fast enough you don't need to change the second weapon. Your first weapon mod will be swapped and you can use the swapped weapon instead for whatever you need
OTHER UPDATE: as my buddy zazman noticed: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQpb_8W9o0NSMp9Ib2y1c8g swapping to ssg is probably the easiest way to do this trick since it doesn't have a mod to swap to (early in the game you could use other weapons too I suppose).
