EV Training is hugely important but also very time-consuming - if you have the pokedollars to do it you can quickly EV Train a Pokemon using only Vitamins that boost EVs instantly. There used to be a limit to how many Vitamins you could give to a Pokemon but now you can just give 26 Vitamins to a Pokemon and skip straight to a maxed-out EV Trained Pokemon.
