This guide will walk you through fixing the "A required device isn't connected or cannot be accessed" error, along with error codes 0xc0000185, 0xc0000225, 0xc0000001, 0xc00000f, and 0xc000000e, on a Windows 11 system. We’ll provide different solutions depending on the error and system specifics.
These errors generally indicate a boot issue, often caused by missing system files. The primary fix is to correct the boot record.
When the 0xc00000f error appears, you won’t be able to boot your machine to the desktop. Don’t worry—we have an easy fix for this.
First, try using the /RebuildBCD option to rebuild the Boot Configuration Data (BCD). If that doesn’t resolve the issue, a more manual approach involves rebuilding the boot record from scratch. Follow the steps below to export, delete, and back up the BCD. After this, running the program again will ensure the BCD store is fully rebuilt.
In Advanced Recovery Mode, enter these commands one by one in the Command Prompt.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 11 & Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung).
