How To Fix Alice Madness Returns PC Steam, Prevent Start Freezing, Glitches and Getting Stuck Update

This is an update that I made on how to fix the Alice Madness Returns game for Steam PC. I've added more fixes. I think that this might help better compared to the other fix that I made which didn't really have much in it.

For anyone still having trouble with starting the game, try out this fix.
The first fix is changing the MaxSmoothedFrameRate = 31 to MaxSmoothedFrameRate = 60. Here's another fix. Scroll down to [UnrealEd.UnrealEdEngine]. Find MaxSmoothedFrameRate=31.000000 and change that to MaxSmoothedFrameRate=60.000000. If that doesn't work, try this one.
You will have to go to your documents folder where the Alice Madness Returns folder is. It might say My Games and then inside that folder is the Alice Madness Returns folder. Go inside this folder. This is in a different location other than the one in the Steam folder.

Go inside your Alice Madness Returns folder. Find the AliceGame folder and open it.

Go inside the Config folder.
Find AliceEngine.ini and open that with notepad.
Scroll down to [Engine.Engine]
Find bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=True and change that to bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=False
Next. Scroll down to [TextureStreaming]
Find PoolSize=140
Increase the texture poolsize until the freezing dissapears
Try setting the texture poolsize to 1300 so that it says PoolSize=1300
Afterwards, save this and try out the game again.
Remember to make a backup save or copy of this notepad file. That way if it doesn't work then you can revert to the original settings.

You can also try this out. Close up the AliceEngine.ini and open up AliceGame.ini in the Config folder.
Scroll down and find [Engine.WorldInfo]
Look for MaxPhysicsSubsteps=10
Change that number to 5 so that it says MaxPhysicsSubsteps=5
Scroll down and find [Engine.DecalManager]
Look for MaxActiveDecals=100
Change that to MaxActiveDecals=50
Save the notepad file and close it. Try starting the game again.
Remember to make a copy or backup of this notepad file so that you can revert to the original settings or just change the settings back to their original default settings by typing the original numbers.

If that doesn't work try changing the compatibility by going to where your Steam is installed. Go inside the Steam folder and find steamapps. Find the common folder and go inside it. Once inside, find the Alice Madness folder and go inside that one. Inside that one look for the binaries folder and double click that to go inside that folder. Inside that folder you should see the Win32 folder. Open it. Look for the AliceMadnessReturns.exe application. Right click that and the open properties at the bottom by choosing it. Choose the compatibility tab and find the compatibility mode. Check the empty box and that should enable you to change the compatibility mode. You can change it to whatever version of OS aka Operating System that you want. Try out Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, etc. and then once you choose one of those click Apply on the bottom and choose OK. Try starting the game again. If it still doesn't work change the compatibility mode again to a different one until it works. If it still won't work then look for fixes in the Steam Community discussions about Alice Madness Returns. Sometimes, I look for solutions there too if I'm having issues.
