I made a guide and how-to video fix for the Silent Hill Homecoming on Steam PC. This is created by Unknownproject and it's a patch that enables 60FPS+, Native Controller button prompts, reworks QTE (to deal with broken QTE due to game engine), 21:9 support, crash fixes, and more. Just follow the video step by step and you should be able to run this game. I'm running this game on a Windows 10 OS aka operating system. For some reason this is the only Silent Hill game that's on Steam right now. While, Silent Hill 4 The Room is available to buy and download on GOG aka Good Old Games website. It just doesn't make sense that Konami is able to put all of the Metal Gear games on Steam but not all of the Silent Hill games there. There's just no excuse because they can easily port or emulate these games now. They can easily optimize it but no fans like myself and others have to figure out and do all the fixes. SMH.

Do these next steps after putting all those patch files by Unknownproject's Lair into your Silent Hill Homecoming folder. I'm currently running this game on Windows 10.
If anyone is still having issues, try this fix.
1) Open your Steam folder.
2) Go inside the steamapps folder.
3) Go inside the common folder.
4) Scroll down the list and look for the Silent Hill Homecoming folder. Go inside that folder.
5) Find the bin folder and go inside that.
6) Find the SilentHill.exe and right click that and open the properties section.
7) Once you're in the SilentHill Properties, go to the compatibility tab. Uncheck every box and then click apply and then OK.
8) Do the same thing to the other Bin_v3.0 folder and also uncheck all the boxes in the compatibility tab for SilentHill Properties window.
9) Click apply and then OK.
8) Go to the previous folder and find the Engine folder. Go inside that folder.
9) Scroll down and find the vars_pc.cfg. Right click on that and open it with notepad.
10) Find fps=false and change that to fps=true
11) Find fpsLimit=30 and change to fpsLimit=60
12) Find maxFPSLimit=30 and change that to maxFPSLimit=60
13) Find ScreenRefresh=30 and change that to ScreenRefresh=60 If it's already at 60 then just leave it alone.
14) You can also find ScreenResHeight=1280 and ScreenResWidth=720 You can change these two to whatever you want. I changed mine at ScreenResHeight=1080 and ScreenResWidth=1920
15) Once you've done all that, hit X on the top right and save the vars_pc.cfg. You can just do these steps in reverse if you wanna go to the previous settings.
16) Double click the Silent Hill Homecoming game shortcut on the desktop to start the game and see if the game works.
