36Learn how to fix game cartridges safely and cheaply.
In this video, I’ll show you how to clean and restore your game cartridges for your favourite retro gaming consoles to get them looking and working like new. These tips apply to all cartridge-based games such as Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, NEO GEO, Atari and NES.
I’ll also give you some advice around what you should steer clear of, but just to make it super clear do not use any cleaning products with acetone to clean cartridge pins! This might clean them but can do irreversible damage to your games. So no Brasso, nail polish remover or Windex.
