Gmail is a free email service provided by Google. As of 2019, it had 1.5 billion active users worldwide. A user typically accesses Gmail in a web browser or the official mobile app. Google also supports the use of email clients via the POP and IMAP protocols.
So, to fix the Gmail not receiving emails, follow the steps mentioned below:
The first reason this issue could occur can be if you have an unstable internet connection. So, make sure you have a good connection.
After that, you can go to your Gmail app and then click on the three bars on the top left. Then, scroll down until you find ‘Settings’ and click on it.
Once you get there, choose the email that you’re not receiving mail into. After that, scroll down until you find the ‘Sync Gmail’ option.
You’ll then have to check the ‘Sync Gmail’ option and your issue should be fixed.
If your issue continues, then go to your app library, and hold on to the Gmail app until you see a pop-up, and then click on ‘App Info.
After that, click on ‘Storage’ and then click on ‘Clear Data’ and click on ‘Clear.’ Doing this will clear all the cache and data stored in your phone by the Gmail app.
Once you do that, go to ‘Permissions’ and turn on access to all the options. Once you do all that, your issue should be fixed.
Finally, close the app, restart your device and then log into your Gmail account, then your issue should be fixed.
