Grab a cotton ball and bottle of rubbing alcohol, get the cotton ball moist, then clean the controller by pushing it on the buttons.

(People have said that they used windex, sanitizer, or other agents with alcohol in it and reported that it works the same. Use those at your own risk but I never tried it so I can't say if it works or damages the controller)
