To force force restart your android phone hold down the power button and the volume down key at the same time. You will take a picture and then after 5 seconds your phone will turn off and restart. If you have an additional button like on samsung devices. You can try holding down that button also. This may lead you to a cusom OS screen where you can cancel out and restart your phone!
