How to get 4k Option on Display if not showing up on Windows 10 or 11 PC (Fast Method)
Thank Tim for the video in the comments :D
Go to the nvidia control panel and then go to manage 3d settings and turn on all the legacy modes for DSR factors. Apply the change the 4k option will be listed under display settings.
If your PC is not showing the 4K display option, it could be due to a graphics card driver issue. You can try updating or downgrading your graphics card driver by following these steps:
Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
Find and expand the Display Adapters menu and right-click it.
Select Update Driver and then Search automatically. If it shows that the best drivers are already installed, right-click the Intel display adapter - Update Driver - Browse my computer - Let me pick from a list… - Select an older option on the list.
If this does not work, you can try setting the resolution in the Intel Graphics Command Center Application, which will force Windows to recognize the resolution .
If you are still experiencing issues, you can try the following:
Make sure that your PC and the 4K TV are connected to each other via the HDMI cable 2.
Check if the 4K monitor is properly connected to your PC and using the correct port 3.
Try detecting other displays by clicking on the Detect option in the Display Settings window
