How To Get 5 Stars With Your Jurassic World Evolution 2 Park
Today I will show you how you can reach 5 stars in pretty much any Sandbox or Challenge Map in Jurassic World Evolution 2.
We are going to be playing with Money turned on and I will build a Sandbox Park to demonstrate. So I'm setting STANDARD MODE and there would be little to no point in me making this video with UNLIMITED CASH, so we are going with MEDIUM.
The first challenge on the road to reaching 5 stars is SURVIVING THE EARLY GAME.
I recommend you to play with MEDIUM amounts of starting cash, because LOW amounts is so poorly optimized, you would need to always buy Struthiomimuses, but with MEDIUM cash you can pretty much create whicever dinosaur you prefer.
First you need to construct your INFRASTRUCTURE buildings and connect them to the ARRIVAL POINT, and from the point of buying a BACKUP GENERATOR, OR SCIENTISTS, we will start to bleed money very quickly.
We will need to OPEN OUR PARK as soon as possible after this point which means having DINOSAURS being VISIBLE in front of a VIEWING GALLERY.
Scientists SALARIES is the biggest upkeep cost in the game, so we want to hire cheap scientists, at least in the early game. We need to make sure we have 5 LOGISTICS skills across 3 Scientists, because we are also bleeding money through our backup generator, and we need to Research the Small Power Station as soon as possible.
This next part is a part of the video where I want you to learn about the Strategy Behind Dinosaurs.
Like I said, I recommend starting with the cheapest starter dinosaur first, the Struthiomimus, because LARGER DINOSAURS are more difficult on multiple levels. They are a bigger investment to begin with, and if you run out of money in the last second, it's pretty much GAME OVER. You will need to CHEAT yourself money through toggling the sandbox money settings or start over. LARGER dinosaurs might also need 8 GENETICS Skills or 8 WELFARE Skills across 3 Scientists to create, and just because their APPEAL rating is higher, if you divide it by their SYNTHESIS COST, INCUBATION COST, EXPEDITION COST, their appeal might even be lower per dollar than the Struthiomimus. Creating many small dinosaurs instead of fewer big ones also satisfies the research requirement for other small dinosaurs.
I recommend you to buy a Struthiomimus then another Herbivore in the same exhibit, but for Demonstration purposes, I will start with the Apatosaurus, which is the most difficult dinosaur to start with, for the aforementioned reasons besides INTELLIGENT TRAITED Carnivores. For the Apatosaurus, we need not only 8 GENETICS AND WELFARE, we also need to research unlock it.
The Expedition Centre upgrade IMPROVED YIELD does nothing on these early Fossil Sites.
We got the fossils and we extracted them for at least 50% DNA. We create a medium sized enclosure, so we can cover the entire thing with just one Viewing Gallery. In this game, your park start rating decreases if animals are not visible at all times through viewing buildings. Dinosaur visibility is this light blue area.
Unfortunately the way the game works, and this is the most important RULE for reaching 5 Stars in this entire video, the LEAST amount of PATHS you have in the game, and the CLOSER your guest buildings are to the dinosaur viewing stations, the more MONEY you will make, and therefore your park will have a higher star rating. Of course, after a while, even with a subpar park, you can reach 5 stars, but I will tell you how to maximize profits and you can work from there. In this game, your park star fame rating is EXACTLY your profits per minute, which means you can for instance cheese challenge maps at 4 stars by firing all of your scientists, and your profit instantly jumps to 5 stars and you are done.
Going back to our Apatosaurus, we need to construct a big enough enclosure, so our Dinosaur can have all their ENVIRONMENTAL NEEDS met, but not too large of an exhibit for TWO very important reasons:
1. There is a bug in the game where sometimes the enclosure is so large your dinosaurs will not EXPLORE the entire thing, which means they might not discover all the ENVIRONMENTAL Stuff, and at that point they either get sick or break out. The other reason is also kind of stupid.
2. Our next DECISION will either MAKE or BREAK our entire park. If we create an EXHIBIT too LARGE, and we are forced to create multiple viewing stations far apart of each other, our GUEST AMENTITY percentages, and Restroom and Shelter percentages will suffer because of this, and even if place multiple of these, we will make less money because of it.
