How to get Catalysts 1,2,3,4 for Barrow-Dyad | ALL STEPS | Intrinsic V | Worthy Tithe | Target Lock
27A guide that goes over how to start to get the Barrow-Dyad and its intrinsics and 4 Catalysts.
To start, I can't confirm but people mostly say you need to have Act I's story to be Step 15 to see it.
A Blight will spawn in 1 of the 3 starting locations. Trenchway, Hall of Souls or Mausoleum. The locations will always be the same for the blight but it may not spawn for you in that initial area. It is best to go back to orbit and try again.
Hall of Souls - Tormentor Room. Up the Pillar
Trenchway - Very Left Area of Spawn.
Mausoleum - Near Boss Area
Touch the blight to get teleported. Look at the to activate it. The arrow on the floor is the direction you need to move in but not looking away from the rune.
Head back to the slab after picking out the Fragment.
You need to equip the Scotopic Rune in the Runic Enchancment. You will need to be at least Rank 4 with the vendor as you need two enhancement levels. As the rune takes to level to equip. You will need to make space for it. So unequipped everything to equip it.
Head over the sorrows harbour on the moon. Enter the lost sector. Enemies should despawn and a taken blight should be halfway in the lost sector. This unlocks the rune. It will then reset the lost sector and taken will spawn. Defeat the orge at the end and pick up the fragment.
Next, you head over to the Cosmodrome's Forgotten Shores lost sector. Head into the maze area and unlock the rune puzzles. Do it 3 times. Taken will spawn and try to backtrack back to the beginning. Beat the phalanx boss and claim the fragment.
The slab will have three curses to pick up.
The Sorrows Harbour - Pick up the curse and defeat enemies
The Nightmare Hunt: Pride - Pick up the curse at the end and beat the boss
The Sludge Lost Sector Hallowed Grove - Pick the curse at the start and kill fast.
After all, curses are done. You need to find statues in the Nether. I've read that you can use the same ones for the fragments.
After that. You can head into the Exotic mission "Derealize"
After that, you get your first spine. Head back to the slab to pick up the intrinsic perk quest. Dyadic Ascension.
There are 6 Fragments in each of the starting areas:
Hall of Souls
Trenchway
Mausoleum
To find them. Once you get near 1. The minimap will have a waymarker. Pretty easy. There are 18 in total.
To get the High Impact Resersves catalyst it is by completing an Expert Court of Blades activity with Barrow-Dyad equipped.
After finishing that, head back to the slab for the next step.
The 1st step requires you to have 3 upgrades from the Path of Resolve. This is pretty much being maxed rank in the Path of Resolve Vendor. Rank 12.
The 2nd Step wants you to run "Complete a Court of Blades activity on Expert difficulty using only precision damage weapons: Scout Rifles, Linear Fusion Rifles, or Sniper Rifles, as well as the Barrow-Dyad Submachine Gun".
Expert Court of Blades is not a matchmake but it has no fail state. You can wait 10 minutes rather than beat the encounter to finish it. You can do this for both runs instead of LFG but I recommend doing it normally to get progress for the title.
When Act I Quest is finished
The Path of Ambition Vendor is unlocked when you pick up the Worm in the Court of Blades spawn area or its the Hall of Souls area in the Nether. (Same area but easier in court activity)
Picking up the worm will give a quest. Finishing the quest will unlock the Vendor variant.
You will need to finish the Act II Story up until you get the Seasonal challenge for finishing Part 2.
Path of Will: Ambition quest. You need to be on Path of Ambiton with the shaping slab. Everyone gets stuck with the orge at low health. All you need to do is use a finisher on it.
