How to get into Sens Fortress without ringing the Bells of Awakening | How to beat Dark Souls
4This exploit is called "Sens Skip". It allows you to get into Sens Fortress without having to kill the Gargoyles and Queelag. But why does this work?
When you fall of High Areas that will kill you, the game changes the camera view to a Top-down-view, to show you you will now die. We call this "The Deathcam". While in Deathcam, the games stops loading anything that are not walls/ground/roofs like the doors that block our way into Sens fortress.
We can abuse this by intentionally causing Deathcam without dying.
We do this by standing near the pillar and riposting an attack. The animation of the riposte, will then push our character into an area where the Deathcam will activate, without us dying. (as seen at 0:28)
After that we simply have to walk into Sens fortress to complete the exploit.
