We've finished the second Space Elevator tier in Satisfactory, and that means it's time for OIL! Liquid gold! Exciting times, but Oil is more complicated than anything else we've had to do up til now. It requires a good location, with access to water, and extra steps need to be taken to ensure your supply of plastics and rubber doesn't run dry.

If you started in the Desert biome in Satisfactory, this video will show you where to find a good source of Oil, and how to process it into Plastic and Rubber to give you a great start on the next tier of the Space Elevator!

This is the first time I've given Satisfactory a serious try though, so please drop a comment if you spot me doing something wrong!

Minimum viable setup to run continuously:
1 Oil extractors, 6 Refineries, 1 Awesome Sink
* 75 motors
* 80 encased industrial beams
* 90 cable
* 180 steel pipes
* 120 copper sheets
* 15 reinforced plates
* 45 concrete
Bring also: As much concrete, cables, iron plates and reinforced plates as you can carry

Optional extras to generate some extra power and waste as little as possible:
9 Coal generators, 3 water extractors, 1 extra refinery
* 210 reinforced plates
* 120 rotors
* 10 motors
* 10 encased industrial beams
* 30 steel pipes
* 20 copper sheets
* 270 cable
