This is how to get the Noble Sword in Oracle of Seasons. The good news is that you don’t need to complete the trading quest in order to get this secret path. Normally you would obtain the secret from a deku scrub near the lost woods after playing a melody to it, but if you know the path, you can perform it as shown in the video.

For each stump you reach heading west, change the season from the coldest to the warmest:

Winter
Autumn/Fall
Spring
Summer

Do it in that order and when you move one screen to the west, you’ll come across the grove where the noble sword rests.
