How to get Windows Photo Viewer back in Windows 10
If you miss Windows Photo Viewer from Windows 7 or 8, here's how to get it back now that you've upgraded to Windows 10.
Here are the steps to restore Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 10:
1. Download the .reg file
2. Right click on the downloaded .reg file and select Merge
3. Having done this, choose any image file and right-click on it, and you will see it included in the Open with context menu.
To make Photo Viewer the default program for opening JPG or JPEG files on your Windows 10 PC, open the Settings app, then go to System \ Default apps \ Photo Viewer \ Photos. Lastly, choose Windows Photo Viewer from the list and from there, everything should work as expected.
