ESSAY INBOUND (DISCLAIMER)
This video was really hard to make because there is no foolproof method.

Please remember that there is no solid method for growing a channel. If I had to sum it up I'd say it's:
60% Luck
30% Who you know
10% Content

This is just the advice I always give when people ask me so this video is here for all the people that ask. Sometimes the things I said will work for you, sometimes doing the opposite of what I say will work for you! Like I said, it's very unpredictable.
The main point is to have fun, if you follow my methods you will make a lot of friends along that way that will hopefully stay with you even if you stop doing youtube.

I tried to be quite truthful in this video so when I say it's unfair I mean it. A lot of big youtubers basically ignore their subscribers (of course there are a lot of exceptions to this rule). However you have to understand from their point of view, that replying to every single message would take the entire day and then they wouldn't have time to eat or sleep! Nevermind make new videos for you to watch. They have to prioritise.

99.9999% of the time the 'big' youtubers won't have any interest in collaborating with someone with less (for example someone with only 10% of the number of their subscribers). Again, nothing is for certain, you may get a lucky break!

For example, I managed to grow my channel to 300 subscribers over the course of 6 months by posting on a community channel and making friends with people over xbox and referring them to my channel (I've never set myself subscriber goals so I'm never working towards something, I was happy with the number of subscribers I had at the time and I'm still happy with the number I have now).

Anyway, at 300 subscribers I started getting involved in the minecraft community and I eventually messaged ZackScottGames one day (one message - no spam) about letting me join his server, he accepted and after my first appearance on his channel I gained 3,000 subscribers practically overnight! I'm very lucky that Zack was nice enough to give me a chance :)
