Step 1. Open the settings app on your Apple iPhone or iPad.

Step 2. Tap "Wi-Fi" in this menu. The Wi-Fi screen is displayed.

Step 3. Tap the "i" icon associated with the Wifi network in this list that you want to hide your iPhone or iPad name from. The information screen for that specific Wifi network is displayed.

Step 4. Tap "Private Wi-Fi Address" in this menu. The associated menu opens.

Step 5. Tap to place a check mark next to either Fixed or Rotating. Going forward, your iPhone or iPad device name will be hidden from this Wifi network. It's worth noting that if you have trouble connecting to a wireless network after turning the Private Wi-Fi Address feature on, you may want to try disabling it as a troubleshooting step to see if that resolves your issue.
