How To Increase or Decrease Echo Dot 5th Gen Clock Brightness !
If you’re using an Echo Dot 5th Gen with a clock display and want to adjust how bright or dim it appears, this video walks you through the exact steps using the Alexa app. Whether you're trying to reduce brightness for nighttime use or increase it for better visibility during the day, it's a quick process that gives you full control over the LED display.
To start, open the Alexa app on your smartphone. If you haven’t updated the app in a while, it's a good idea to do that first to ensure you're using the latest features and interface. Once inside the app, tap on the Devices icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Next, scroll down the list of your connected devices and select Echo & Alexa. From the devices shown, look for the one labeled Echo Dot with clock—this name may vary slightly depending on what you’ve named your device. Tap on it to access the device-specific settings.
In the upper right corner of the screen, you'll see a gear icon, which opens the settings menu for your Echo Dot. Tap that to proceed. Once you’re in the device settings, scroll down until you see the General section. Under General, tap on LED Display.
Inside the LED Display settings, you’ll find a brightness slider at the top. You can manually adjust the brightness level here by sliding left to decrease or right to increase. Additionally, there’s an option to enable or disable Adaptive Brightness. When turned on, this setting allows the Echo Dot to automatically adjust the clock brightness based on ambient lighting, which can be handy if your lighting conditions change frequently.
