Google docs make it nice and easy for you to automatically insert page numbers in your Goole Docs document. This is done in a couple of clicks by going to the 'Insert' tab' then clicking on 'Page Numbers'.

The only downside to google docs page numbers is you cannot automatically insert page numbers starting after page 3. You can, however, follow this tutorial for a workaround.
