Installing EmuVR:

Send an email to beta@emuvr.net and tell them you want to be a beta tester.
The developer will send you an invite to their Discord. If you don’t already have one, create an account and download the .7z file.
Download this version of RetroArch 1.7.5 (http://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.7.5/windows/x86_64/RetroArch.7z).
Extract EmuVR.7z file to its desired location.
Extract RetroArch.7z to ../EmuVR/Retroarch.

Adding Media:

Copy up to 300 ROM’s into ../EmuVR/Games/. Create a new folder for each console. Name them however you wish. If you attempt to go over the 300 game threshold EmuVR will crash on startup. ROM’s will also work in sub-folders. Files can be compressed as long as they are in .ZIP/7z format and not .ISO/BIN/CUE. PS1 Games must be in .BIN/CUE/PBP format.
For emulators that require BIOS files, obtain those files on your own and extract them into ../EmuVR/Retroarch/system.
If you would like to add a VHS player and tapes create a folder called Videos in ..//EmuVR/Games and copy video files inside.
Run ../EmuVR/Game Scanner/Game Scanner.EXE and click the OK button acknowledging the applied patch.
Click Update Core List and restart Game Scanner.EXE as needed.
Click Attempt Autofill button.
Click Save Changes button.
Click Download Missing Cores button.
Click Scan Games for EmuVR.

Adding Labels:

Create a new folder for each console previously added to ../EmuVR/Games/.
Copy your label image files into these folders.
A less labour intensive option to consider for getting that many labels is to use a utility called HyperSync and an EmuMovies subscription. HyperSync will scan your ROM folders and automatically download the art from EmuMovies saving a lot of time. However, a subscription is needed from EmuMovies ($20/month; $60/lifetime) and you need to create an account with HyperSpin. Also the downloaded labels will need to be cropped to appear properly on the cartridge. This last is the most time consuming part of the process.

EmuMovies: https://emumovies.com/subscriptions/
HyperSync: https://hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/12582-hypersync-35032/

Adding Posters:

Open ..//EmuVR/Custom/Posters/Examples and copy all the files inside to ..//EmuVR/Custom/Posters.
In ..//EmuVR/Custom/Posters set the View to Large Icons. This will give you an idea of the size, orientation, and location of the posters in the room.
Choose desired poster images based on size and orientation of the samples and save them to ..//EmuVR/Custom/Posters naming them from 01 to 31 depending on where in the room you want the poster to appear, overwriting the sample file. Dimensions don’t have to be exact, the image will stretch-to-fit.

Customizing Wallpaper, Ceiling and Flooring:

Copy the following files from ..//EmuVR/Custom/Misc/Examples to ..//EmuVR/Custom/Misc; ceiling.PNG, ceiling.TXT, ceiling_normal.PNG, ceiling_roughness.PNG, floor.PNG, floor.TXT, floor_normal.PNG, wallpaper.PNG, wallpaper.TXT.
To add custom wallpaper, ceiling, or flooring download custom images and overwrite ceiling.PNG, floor.PNG, and/or wallpaper.PNG. Images must be in .PNG format and the file names must be correct.
If the image isn’t tiled correctly, edit the corresponding text file and alter tiling_x and tiling_y until the image is patterned the way you want it. For example, for full length floor-to-ceiling wallpaper the tiling_x and tiling_y fields should equal “1.0”. For shag carpeting “9.0” might work better. It may take some trial and error to get it looking right.
For glow in the dark ceilings and/or wallpaper copy the files ceiling_emissive.PNG and/or wallpaper_emissive.PNG from ..//EmuVR/Custom/Misc/Examples to ..//EmuVR/Custom/Misc.

Customizing Bed Sheet and Pillow:
Copy the following files from ..//EmuVR/Custom/Misc/Examples to ..//EmuVR/Custom/Misc; bed_sheet.PNG, bed_sheet.TXT, pillow.PNG, and pillow.TXT.
Download desired custom images and overwrite bed_sheet.PNG and/or pillow.PNG. Images must be in .PNG format and the file names must be correct.
If the image isn’t tiled correctly, edit the corresponding text file and alter tiling_x and tiling_y until the image is patterned the way you want it. Again, it may take some trial and error to get it looking right.
