I have an AMD-FX processor, and after a while of having difficulties of not being able to run OSX in VMWare at decent speeds, I decided to google one day and randomly came across this image floating around online. Believe what you will, but it works great for me. The image has been modified in order to run on AMD with literally no tweaking necessary. The only drawback is of course the slow, 9-part download, but once it's been downloaded, the image runs nearly flawlessly right away without any tweaks necessary.
