If you want to install Windows 8/8.1 operating system to use Microsoft applications on your #macOS system, you can create a new virtual machine with #VMwareFusion software and install Windows on it.

Step 1: After opening VMware Fusion 12 Pro, select Create a custom virtual machine in the setup options and click the Continue button.

Step 2: Select Windows 8x x64 in the operating system selection window and click Continue again.

Step 3: Check the UEFI and Secure Boot options in the firmware type selection window and continue.

Step 4: Continue with Create a New Virtual Disk for a clean Windows installation in the virtual disk selection window.

Step 5: In the summary information of the virtual machine, click Customize Settings to further customize the hardware settings.

Step 6: When the Save As window opens, select the location where you want to save your virtual computer and continue.

Step 7: When the virtual computer's settings are opened, click Processors & Memory and add 4 virtual processors to your virtual system. Assign memory size to your VM based on your host's RAM capacity.

Step 8: Open the Network Adapter hardware settings and change the type of virtual network adapter to Ethernet. With Ethernet, you can connect your virtual computer to your host's local network. Additionally, for better performance, click Advanced Options in the same window and enable the IOMMU feature.

Step 10: Close the settings of the Windows 8/8.1 virtual machine and start the installation by running your guest machine in the Fusion program.

Step 11: After installing #Windows8/8.1, click Virtual Machine / Install VMware Tools in the Fusion tool menu.

Step 12: Install VMware Tools and restart your virtual operating system.

Step 13: After installing VMware Tools, you can fit the screen resolution of the Windows 8/8.1 machine to full screen and transfer files between host and VM.
